ELECTRIC RATE COMPARISON

The Arizona Corporation Commission staff has provided the following information to the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) for their national survey of residential electric bills.

These comparisons are based on charges for basic service and kiloWatt hours in June, July and August, 1996, exclusive of sales taxes. Salt River Project (SRP) is not regulated by the Corporation Commission. SRP rates are included for purposes of comparison. TEP has 264,576 of 269,680 residential customers on residential rate #1. 255,696 of the 610,507 APS residential customers are on the E-12 schedule. 497,800 of the 569,100 SRP residential customers are on the E-23 rate, and all 42,420 of Citizens Utilities Mohave Electric Division residential customers are on the rate used for this report.
