ACC PUTS HOLD ON ELECTRIC COMPETITION RULES

The Arizona Corporation Commission, in open meeting today, voted to temporarily stay the electric competition rules that had taken effect January 1, 1999.

The commission plans to begin an intensive series of public hearings to fine tune the competition rules and will soon outline a process and time frame for the resumption of true electric competition in Arizona.
