Commission Encourages Investors To Participate In Savings & Investment Month

PHOENIX – The Arizona Corporation Commission’s Securities Division is reaching out to investors during the month of April as part of Arizona Savings & Investment Month. Representatives from the Commission will take part in three major events this month to help promote financial literacy and encourage people to invest wisely. The schedule is as follows:

  • April 19-25 – Pima County Fair. Securities Division personnel will team up with representatives from the Securities and Exchange Commission to staff an exhibit at the Tucson fairgrounds. Attendees can pick up valuable information about different types of investments and tips about wise investing. Senior Day at the fair is April 20.

The Commissioners or Securities Division personnel are available to talk about any financial topic of interest to groups of 25 or more people. Some of the most popular topics include:

  • How to Outsmart the Swindlers
  • Top 10 Scams, Schemes, & Scandals
  • Getting Sound Advice: Choosing a Financial Adviser or Investment Broker
  • Understanding Variable Annuities
  • Mutual Funds: What You Should Know
  • The Basics of Saving & Investing

The five commissioners, who are statewide elected officials, participate in these presentations when schedules permit.
