Commissioner Mundell Appoints Advisor

Effective November 8, 1999, Mr. Hercules A. Dellas will become Executive Assistant/Advisor to Commissioner William A. Mundell. Dellas will be replacing Ms. Teena Wolfe who is moving over to join the ACC's Legal Division as a Staff Attorney.

Commissioner Mundell issued the following statement: "I have mixed emotions about this staffing change. On the one hand, I am happy to be able to work with someone of Mr. Dellas' ability and character. On the other hand, I am sorry to be losing Ms. Wolfe who has done so much to get me off to a good start at the Commission. Although there is a part of me that would have wanted to keep Teena in her current role, it would be selfish to ask her to turn down the Legal Division opportunity. In the end, the Commission is getting a great addition in Hercules, and is also retaining a proven and outstanding performer in Teena. I believe these personnel moves qualify as "win-wins."

Dellas currently has a private practice and serves a number of Valley cities as a Judge Pro Tempore. He has previously served as counsel to U.S. Cable (Lake County, Illinois), Securco, Inc., Valley National Corporation, MeraBank and the State Bar of Arizona. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, a Master of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Glendale, Arizona), and a Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

Wolfe is moving to a position in the Legal Division that was vacant following the departure of Peter Breen who left the Commission to become the Director of Regulatory Law for New Mexico's Attorney General.
